Q: I was checking out a site on seo browser ( http://www.seo-browser.com/index.php?address=http%3a%2f%2fbrandadda.com&action=parse+url) and noticed some rather strange things in the output. See below:
“[9xm - haq se]9xm - haq se0
[zoom - isko dekho]zoom - isko dekho0
[reliance trends]reliance trends0
more [bosch india]bosch india5
[maruti swift]maruti swift0
[maruti suzuki a-star]maruti suzuki a-star0
[mahindra logan]mahindra logan0″
The number at the end of each line stands for the rating for that particular item. Does the search engine read the line as a single item or does it read it as the item + the rating? The concern is that instead of ‘xyz’, the site gets listed for ’xyz4′.
A: The search engines will see and index the number after product name. The test is to look at the text version of the google cached page. We use the google toolbar in Firefox to find the cached page and then click on the link to text version.
