Definitions

SEO-BROWSER PROGRAM DEFINITIONS:

HTTP Viewer: This function allows the user to quickly and easily view information related to the Http header.

Actual  Page: This function is a direct link to the parsed web page. 

DNS Report: This is a link to www.dnsstuff.com, where the user gets more information related to the DNS.

CSS -  Style Sheet: This link brings up a page showing the user deails of the Cascading Style Sheet. 

Whols:  This links to http://whois.webhosting.info and allows users to see information like the IP Address of the site, the IP Country, Reverse IP Lookup, Hosting company name, ICANN Registrar and when the site was created.  

Link Stats: This shows the backlinks to the site from various search engines. It also displays how many pages are indexed by the Search Engines. Typically, data is displayed for Google, Yahoo and MSN.Typically, data is displayed for Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Link  Checker:  This links to www.dead-links.com and enters the parsed URL. A spider checks all website pages and determines any broken links.

 Check W3C Validity: This links to http://validator.w3.org and enters the parsed URL.

 Source Code: is a quick way to look at the source code for the page that has been parsed.

 

GENERAL DEFINITIONS

Backlinks:  is a link coming from another website back to your own, also called inward or inbound links. Some Search Engines use backlinks as an indicator of the popularity of a site.

Anchor Text: is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink. The words contained in the Anchor text can determine the ranking that the page will receive by search engines.

Hyperlinks (more commonly called a link):  is an electronic connection between one web page to either (1) other web pages on the same web site, or (2) web pages located on another web site.
